When the family gets together
It is such a happy time.
It makes me really happy
Just to think that they are mine!

Cousins, uncles, aunts and in-laws
Relatives by the score
It doesn't matter how many come
There's always room for more!

And the cameras start to flash
At every cute thing a baby does
And about the latest teenage craze
The relatives are all abuzz.

We try to get them all together
To get a photo of the group
Some kid is sure to start to cry
And some kid's got the croup!

Just when we think we have the pose
That will go on next year's Christmas card
We are distracted by the door bell ringing
Or the dogs barking out in the yard.

So the photos may be fuzzy
With a few eyes closed and such
But the memories of those special times
Our hearts will always touch!
